JUST BOUGHT 19″ LCD TV. HOOKED TO REGULAR CABLE. WHAT SETTING WOULD BE BEST FOR CLEAREST PICTURE? 169 OR 43?
I undergo I could visit HDTV, but don’t poverty to at this point. It nearly seems a taste blurry at it’s partitioning at 720.
Suggestions would be great. Also, what does AVC good fashion mean?

You want 16:9 for most viewing. The reason it is blurry, is normal TV is only about 225-250 lines these days, and your tv has to fill the other 500 lines with something, so it repeats every line twice.
It depends on the program. I would say zoom it in so you can see the picture as large as possible but not so much that the image is horizontally stretched. If a regular TV would show black bars on top and bottom, zoom it so the black bars are hidden and the picture fills the screen. If a regular TV would show the program full screen, zoom it so that there are black bars on the left and right and none on the top and bottom.
If you cannot watch regular TV without the picture being stretched and everyone always looks obese, take the TV back and get a TV with a better zoom function. The picture is going to stay blurry because an HDTV has better resolution than a regular TV. You might try turning the sharpness down.
