      Wow, you guys are retarded…
      Plasmas are great for gaming, sports, and movies. LCDs are good for smaller sizes.
      I have owned my plasma for about a year now and I have not seen any type of “burn” or image retention… Quit spreading false info.

      Plasma is great, I own one and love it but there are huge cons that this guy (obviously a plasma supporter) forgot to mention:

      1. BURN-INS!
      2. SHORT LIFESPAN!

      actually its the other way around buddy lol plasma are not good with still images and get burn in images and not good for prolonged use i would never hook my ps3 to a plasma

      all gotta say is PLASMA tvs are good for games and movies and LCD tvs are good for moive aswell but not so much for games also good for every day use but where PLASMA for ever day use will die faster the the plasma.dont buy LG tv its same as bestbuys brand tvs
      bad tvs there useless. if your gona buy a tv buy one for the top of the line

      Great video,
      I was wondering which tv is better,
      the LG plasma 50″ or the LG LCD 42″
      according to the specs the plasma is better with 600Hz, and 2 million:1 contrast ration. the LCD goes at 120hz and 70000:1 ratio.
      they go for the same amount of money (700-800)
      what do you think?

      Serious note; Very useful video. I’m right now in the case where I need to choose between a 37″ panasonic LCD and/or a 50″ Plasma from Philips.

      Plasma is much better. A high class LCD has around 100,000:1 contrast ratio while high end plasma has 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The same goes for color gamut. Samsung’s new series 8 plasma has an astonishing gamut of colors, the highest available. Well worth investing in a plasma rather than an LCD if you want high picture quality
