      Before looking at reviews of TVs you need to concider the Size of Room/Type of Viewing Area.

      Make sure you have adequate viewing space between you and the TV. With Big Tube, Projection TV’s, Plasma screens, and even video projectors, becoming more and more popular these days, the temptation to get the biggest screen possible is hard to pass up. However, you must have the proper distance between you and the picture to get the most pleasing viewing experience.
      If you are planning to buy a 25-inch or 27-inch television, you should be about 8 feet away, for a 32-inch TV you should be about 10 feet away, and for a 35-inch or 36-inch TV you should be about 11 feet away. Needless to say, you should have at least 12ft to 15ft to work with when installing a 50-inch or 60-inch big screen set.       In addition, if you are building a television viewing area or home theater room from scratch, even if you plan to do your own construction, still consult a home theater installer or a contractor that specializes in home theater to get an honest assessment of the actual environment that the television or video projector will be used in. Factors such as the amount of light coming in from windows, room size, acoustics, etc… will certainly be a major factor in what type of television or video projector (as well as audio setup) would be best in your specific situation.

      I would definitely go with a Sony BRAVIA. You can get a 40-Inch LCD TV, Model: KDL-40S3000 for an average price of $750. Also, the LG 42-Inch LCD HDTV, Model: 42LG3000 is a good choice. Both of these LCD TVs come with a good amount of connectivity ports and higher-than-average contrast ratios.

      What size? Top choice is Sumsang, Panasonic, Sony and Toshiba. Just stay with name brand and not off brands (bargai) like Insignia, Element, Vizio etc. Name brands have better quality and reliability with very good service support, which you won’t get on off brands. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the comprehensive reports on LCD tvs.
